Thank you to everyone involved over the three years for their support especially our cast & crew for all their hard work.
Behind the Scenes
From the initial idea to performing took only 10 months, but hours of preparation time behind the scenes.
In November 2001 Kate and Rachael started researching Pierrot Shows of yesteryear. This included books, newspaper and the Internet. We received tonnes of letters and a lot of interest. From then we wrote several drafts of our script, applied for grants, fundraised and organised venues for performances.

At the end of May auditions were held at Headlands youth centre. Our cast then gave us their opinions on our script and music and appropriate changes were made.
Singing rehearsals on a Monday evening.
A shorter rehearsal for our sketches was held every Wednesday.
We enlisted the help of Joanna, Danny and Steven on a Thursday night to choreograph the dances.
Making the costumes was the most challenging part and very time consuming. It would have been impossible without the help of Jean Armitage and Shirley Drew.
Make-up test (just in case anyone was allergic).
Pierrots always had white faces with black features.
